Key Assessment: FRIT 7136
During the FRIT 7136 Reference and Information Sources course, I collaborated with the Loganville Christian Academy Bible teacher to design an information literacy unit to support the class assignment of creating a paper that summarized a Bible passage using various authoritative sources. The Bible teacher requested that I teach the information literacy portion of the lesson. The lesson consisted of three components, evaluating websites, outlining and note taking, and creating bibliographic and parenthetical citations from various sources. The lessons included the use of the smart board for presentation. I utilized several open source web pages for content, as well as video. Finally, a resource pathfinder was created for students to have a point of reference for several of the tools that were utilized during the lessons.
